Ferries is a series of long-exposure analogue b&w photographs.
Recorded with a specially for the project developed pinhole camera, the images capture the passages of the Rhine River pedestrian ferries in Basel, Switzerland. Depending on the lighting conditions, the exposure time of each photograph corresponds to at least one or more river crossings.
The moving ferry appears static, while the landscape and the passengers seem fleeting and ephemeral.
